On Saturday, February 24th, we celebrated the tenth anniversary of our school. Preparations have been in progress since the beginning of the year as we really wanted the program to be beautiful, hearty and sincere. The responses of our visitors, joy, gratitude, as well as tears in the eyes, showed us that the efforts paid off. I sincerely thank the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, for taking this event under his patronage. We were particularly pleased that his Excellency Mr Ambassador Jozef Drofenik, together with his wife, Mrs Alo Adamio, honoured us with their presence. The RS Consulate in India, Mr Bagaria, visited us as well. Along with them, the Members of the German CED organization, the humanitarian society Luc Upanja from Slovenia and members of the Society of Slovenes in India also celebrated with us. We would like to thank everyone for their support and kind words. This time even my mother made me very happy by coming to see me. It was her very first visit to India. We would also like to thank all other friends from near and far who have honoured us with their presence on such an important day. The stars of the day were, of course, our children who showcased dance, music and drama performances. From Indian classical dance to modern Bollywood, with the touch of evergreen songs such as “You raise me up” and “Doe a deer” they managed to create a magical ambience, which will remain with us as a treasured memory for a long time to come.
