It’s been a privilage and honour to mentor, encourage and support this brave young boy Nilotpal, his strong-spirited sister Mira and their team in their purpose to help the children, teens and women in their remote village of Sitolia in Sundarbon.

While eagerly awaiting for the school to reopen, we prepared a small program for the occasion of Republic Day.

We are so grateful to be able to celebrate Christmas together! Thank you our Dear friends for enabling us to give all our children special gifts. Especial thanks to Mr Sheo Shankar Bagaria, Slovenian Honorary Consul in Kolkata for gifting our girls with warm blankets.  

The students of BSS school in Kolkata in association with NGO Pukaar reached out to us and gifted our students with sanitary pads, hygiene items and notebooks. Their act of kindness was mentioned also in The Telegraph newspaper.

Also this year we celebrated the birthday of dear Aintik. His family remembers us every year and presents our girls with small gifts for their son’s birthday. This time it was warm scarves and chocolate cakes.

In India we celebrate the Teachers’ Day on 5th September. We are very happy that we were able to prepare a small celebration despite of lock down. We all met again after more than 5 months and there were truly tears of joy in our eyes. We spent a wonderful few hours together, enjoying a small […]

This year we prepared only a small celebration of The Independence day. Nevertheless we enjoyed it and were grateful to be able to spend some time together.

We are in the fifth month of a lock-down, helping as much as we can during these challenging times: distributing food, organizing online classes, encouraging girls to be creative, active and curious. Thank You, our dear Friends, Luc Upanja, CED and the others for your continuous support.

Despite the fact that our school is still closed due to the corona virus, we try to encourage children to stay active and creative.
