Children’s Day is celebrated across India to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. It is celebrated on 14 November every year on the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, sometimes called “Chacha Nehru”, the first Prime Minister of India.
For our school, this is a special day filled with games, dance, singing and more. The girls dress up in their best clothes and love to perform in the “Show and Tell”. Even the teachers prepared a special programme for the students, and this year all the girls received a new school bag as a gift. Students also enjoyed chocolate candy to make the day sweet and special.
